DETOUR MAGAZINE RETROSPECTIVE
DETOUR Magazine celebrates nine years of creative license with a retrospective of the best celebrity portraiture and fashion photography from almost a decade of creative risk-taking. In collaboration with DETOUR Magazine, Photo Impact over the years has helped to create and define the creative edge (that Detour Magazine is so well known for) through their black & white printing process. Traveling from the Stephen Cohen Gallery, in Los Angeles, to Table Five Gallery in Dallas, Texas, the black and white photographs from the show were featured at Photo Impact's Gallery through December 12, 1996. Selected images are still on display in our Website Gallery.
A showcase for new talent, as well as a forum for creative experimentation, DETOUR's contributors include photographers as diverse as: Jerry Avenaim, Dan Chavkin, William Claxton, Davis Factor, Greg Gorman, Kevin Kerslake, Neil Kirk, Wayne Maser, Melodie McDaniel, Michael Muller, Randee St. Nicholas, Cleo Sullivan, Michael Tighe, Diego Uchitel and others, with work that redefines celebrityhood and stretches the boundaries of fashion and portraits.
